Alyssa Reidhead is a Registered Dietitian and Professional Practice Assistant Professor in the Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences Department at Utah State University. Alyssa is a two‑time USU graduate, completing both the Coordinated Program in Dietetics and the Master of Dietetics Administration program.
Alyssa’s professional passion centers on foodservice systems, dietetics management, and leadership development. In her teaching, she emphasizes hands‑on learning, real‑world application, and the development of soft skills that are essential for future dietitians. She is deeply committed to student success and values the role of mentorship in helping emerging professionals grow with confidence and purpose.
Her experience in foodservice operations and collaborative problem‑solving informs her work on the WAB Warming Center Board. Notably, Alyssa has worked with the center and USU dietetics students to bring pre-prepared nutrient dense meals to guests. Alyssa is dedicated to strengthening local resources and ensuring individuals and families have access to nutritious food.
Outside of her professional work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
