Russ Price brought his family to Logan nearly 30 years ago to work at Utah State University. He currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and leads the Office of University Ethics & Compliance. Russ’s academic training was in architecture, with degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California at Berkeley. He specialized in the management of large-scale academic research building development where he learned the importance of facilitating collaborations among numerous interests and personalities to achieve shared objectives.
Russ has served the Cache Valley community in many roles. He is currently a member of Logan’s Civil Service Commission and its Historic Preservation Committee. He previously served as chair of the Logan Planning Commission and on the advisory board for Logan Parks & Recreation. Russ is also a certified mediator and provided mediation services for the Juvenile Courts and the State Office of Education.
As he looks forward to retirement, Russ plans to dedicate time to understanding the needs of Cache Valley’s unsheltered population and explore innovations in affordable housing to help ensure that the objective of “Housing First” is not just a tag line, but a step toward integration into the community for all our neighbors.
